Large corporate enterprises are increasingly considering blockchain tech for its promise of transparency, immutability, and novel datasets. However, these businesses face a challenge in accessing, integrating, and, most importantly, trusting this on-chain data for mission-critical analytics and applications. The solution might lie in a new collaboration, announced at Microsoft Build on May 20, 2025, that sees Space and Time's verifiable compute layer integrated with Microsoft Fabric. This strategic integration embeds Space and Time’s ZK-proven blockchain data, initially from Bitcoin, Sui, and Ethereum, directly within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, meaning enterprises and developers can build next-generation data-driven applications and derive trusted insights from on-chain activity with unprecedented ease and cryptographic assurance.

Why Enterprises Need Trusted Blockchain Data

Corporations are increasingly excited about blockchain technology because it offers transparent, immutable data that can help businesses discover unique insights from the ever growing on-chain economy. However, accessing the data and ensuring its trustworthiness is tough: blockchain networks are often siloed, and the datasets are vast, making both access to the data and processing the data quite challenging. The biggest issue for businesses remains in trusting that the data has not been tampered with, especially when it’s being used to create critical financial models or compliance reports.

Integrating blockchain data to existing, reputable databases like Microsoft Fabric that are used by large corporations to run advanced analytics is no small feat. Developers and data scientists need a simple, trustworthy way to use the data without worrying about its accuracy so businesses don’t risk making bad decisions, training flawed AI models, or failing to meet regulations.

Making Blockchain Data Simple and Trustworthy

Space and Time is more than just a data provider, they’re introducing a new solution for how large enterprises can access blockchain data. The network is engineered to address the core issues of trust, complexity, and scale, offering a comprehensive platform for both enterprises and developers.

At its core, Space and Time’s network provides a powerful data warehouse that handles two jobs at once: fast, real-time queries and heavy-duty analytics to crunch huge datasets. The network is designed to manage massive amounts of data (think tens of terabytes) by thousands of users simultaneously, all while running smoothly, thanks to advanced tech like Kubernetes.

Space and Time also automatically indexes blockchain data from Bitcoin, Sui, and Ethereum, with plans to expand to additional networks over time. This means businesses get instant access to historical blockchain data, or specific insights like smart contract activity, all integrated into Microsoft’s ubiquitous corporate software offerings. Developers can even select a smart contract, and Space and Time will create custom data tables for it, perfect for building tailored apps.

The real magic is found in Space and Time’s Proof of SQL™ technology, a tool that uses zero-knowledge proofs to ensure that query results are accurate and untampered with. Unlike some privacy-focused tools, Space and Time’s offering is about publicly verifying the data, not hiding it. This lets businesses trust the results without relying on Space and Time themselves. Everything runs on the SxT Chain, their own blockchain designed specifically for verified data. Additionally, Space and Time has deployed a zkSync rollup using Caldera's Rollup Engine to support network settlement for SXT Chain. Together, these tools by Space and Time make it easy for enterprises to access, process, and trust blockchain data, whether it’s paired with other datasets or used on its own.

How Space and Time Works with Microsoft Fabric

Microsoft Fabric is a one-stop shop for analytics, combining data storage, engineering, real-time insights, and business intelligence. Now, with Space and Time’s integration, Fabric users can tap into verified blockchain data from Bitcoin, Sui, and Ethereum networks without changing their usual workflows and having to access an external application.

This setup makes life easier for developers and data professionals at large enterprises. They can pull in trustworthy blockchain data and use Fabric’s tools to analyze it, building smarter apps or digging into on-chain trends. As Space and Time put it, this “streamlines blockchain data access” so enterprises can “leverage insights around on-chain activity” right in their apps.

This integration builds on a strong history between the two brands, in fact Microsoft’s M12 fund backed Space and Time in 2022 and joined their $20 million Series A in 2024. Nate Holiday, Space and Time’s co-founder, said, “We’re excited to team up with Microsoft to bring verifiable blockchain data to businesses and developers on Fabric. This opens up new possibilities for finance, Web3 apps, and AI.” A quick guide on how to access the data in Microsoft Fabric was recently published on X/Twitter.

What This Means for Real World Businesses

This integration changes the game for how companies use blockchain data. It’s not just a small upgrade, it lets businesses move past experiments and build real, scalable apps backed by data they can trust. Here’s how it’s making a difference:

  • Finance: Banks and financial firms can create reliable models, compliance tools, and risk dashboards using verified transaction data from Bitcoin, Ethereum, or DeFi platforms on Sui. This means transparent, auditable analytics they can count on.

  • Web3 Apps: Developers building decentralized apps can use Fabric to analyze verified user activity, token trends, or market data, making their apps more functional and trustworthy.

  • AI and Machine Learning: Companies can train AI models in Azure AI (part of Fabric) with high-quality, verified blockchain and related data, leading to smarter, more reliable predictions.

  • Cross-Chain Insights: Businesses can compare user behavior, asset flows, or app performance across Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Sui, all in one place, thanks to Space and Time’s consistent data.

The payoff? Trusted data lowers risks, faster workflows speed up development, and new tools spark innovation, all through familiar Microsoft platforms.

Trusted Data for a Connected World

The integration of Space and Time in Microsoft Fabric marks a major leap toward making blockchain data a trusted part of enterprise analytics. With Caldera’s Rollup Engine powering the ZK chain that works alongside SxT Chain, Space and Time is able to deliver scalable, secure, and verifiable data that enterprises can comfortably rely on. Tools like Proof of SQL™ ensure trust, letting businesses confidently use blockchain data for automated decisions and smart systems.

Caldera’s expertise in deploying high-performance rollups is key to the integration, enabling fast, cost-effective data processing that unlocks new possibilities for enterprises. This is a glimpse into a future where secure data, verified computations, and scalable blockchain solutions drive innovation together.
