The First Rollup with a LayerZero OFT as the Native Token
ApeChain is focused on fostering a robust and dynamic economy driven by $APE and positioning itself as a premier platform for all web3 developers and users. To this end, the team at ApeCoin has upgraded its smart contracts with LayerZero’s OFT standard, making $APE truly interoperable with multiple chains. Our team at Caldera helped ApeChain take this one step further and enabled the use of omnichain $APE as the native gas fee token for the rollup. This novel implementation of the OFT standard enables seamless, fully collateralized $APE transfers across other chains, ensuring ApeChain is deeply connected with other ecosystems while also allowing for $APE to be used as the native gas token - greatly enhancing the $APE utility.
